Peach is the hottest new color in fashion these days. Until now, it has been underused and underestimated on the eyes.
“My inspiration for Kelly’s bridal look came right off the runway, from Anna Sui’s Spring 2018 collection. Anna Sui’s look is a warm smoky eye, flawless skin and neutral glossy warm lip.
For the makeup look on Kelly, I used my new favorite eyeshadow palette from TOO FACED called “Just Peachy Mattes”. A side note, the palette actually smells like peaches- so delicious! It is a collection of twelve beautiful peach related tones that can be mixed to create countless looks. On Kelly I used Peach Butter (a peachy beige) as a base, Peach Tea (the color of graham crackers) as a mid-tone and Peach Tart (warm brown) and Peach Punch (a bright orange-red) for shading. To add extra dimension I added a bit of KAT VON D’s Green Emerald from the “Alchemist Holographic Palette” just to the center of the eye lid and a tiny bit on the lip bow. The Green Emerald just adds the perfect holographic finish to an otherwise all “matte” look.
If you want to go for a more fashion-forward look, you could warm up the peachy colors with a deeper red, rimmed around the eyes (try Peach Punch, and Peach Sangria, a shimmery deep red). Typically, I caution care using red around the eyes, however, with the right products and application, just watch those eyes pop!
Contrarily, if you are going for a softer look (think peach champagne), stick with the softer colors in the palette: Peach Merengue (vanilla), Peach Tea and Just Peachy (a true peach). You could just dot the center eye-lid with a pearl highlight.
Finally, to finish Kelly’s look, I lined the eyes with dark brown liner, and kept the blush soft and neutral. For lips, I used MAC Brave (neutral pink) lipstick and a shimmery gloss.”
